Science for society
My research interests center around applied conservation science and span geographies and ecosystems.
I aim to inform decision making and inspire action by spotlighting emerging challenges and solutions to the biodiversity and climate crises.
Collaborative approach
Knowledge production is a team sport or, better yet, a harmonious a cappella group or choir. I believe that collaboration and co-design are critical to enhancing the quality and impact of research. I collaborate widely across disciplines and communities of practice with researchers, practitioners, donors, and decision-makers, and foster and advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice every day through community, conversations, and actions.

Special issue highlights impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on conservation. Stimulus funding in the first year of the pandemic undermined more than supported environmental protections (PARKS).
